The road to digitalisation

Technology adoption amongst small businesses has exploded in recent years, and this is set to continue – driven by new developments, market factors and even government legislation, like Making Tax Digital. This new partnership will enable the accounting firm’s small business client base to embrace digital tools.

It’ll also ensure a smooth transition to Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment (MTD for ITSA), which is set to impact 4.2 million British taxpayers. It represents serious change for many sole trader and small business clients, who must shift to digital tax submission ahead of the start date of April 2024. This is why we recently launched our MTD for ITSA beta, enabling accountants and bookkeepers to participate in HMRC’s pilot and prepare for one of the largest ever changes to the tax system.

Now, our partnership with Azets will not only help its clients ensure compliance with the legislation, but make the time-consuming process of quarterly reporting more efficient, while also driving new and greater benefits throughout their businesses.
