Latest product news – November 2020
We hope you enjoyed Xero On Air last month and are excited about all the product announcements we rolled out to customers and partners. If you’re an accountant or bookkeeper, don’t forget to keep an eye on our practice tools value map to see what’s available now and what’s coming soon. In the meantime, here are the latest features released in Xero.
New features
Log in to Practice Manager and WorkflowMax separately — Global
Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and WorkflowMax are becoming two individual products. You can now log in to XPM and WorkflowMax separately using your desktop and the individual mobile apps.
All the features you use today will still be available, including the integration with Xero and connection with the apps in our ecosystem. Read the FAQs for more information on this update.
Match and reconcile part payments using iOS — Global
You can now reconcile a split transaction in the iOS Xero Accounting App. To reconcile deposits and instalment payments, simply match the partial payment to a single document from the Find & Match screen. We’re also working hard to make part payments available for multiple transactions, so stay tuned. The single part-payment functionality will be available for Android users soon.
Speed up tax return preparation — AU
The capital gains worksheet in Xero Tax now has a number of enhancements to help you speed up tax return preparation. These include the introduction of a date of disposal field and the ability to automatically select CGT method, based on date of acquisition and date of disposal. In addition, each line of prior year losses can now be displayed on individual tax returns.
