The countdown to Xerocon London 2022 is officially on. By now you’ve probably heard it being described as ‘Glastonbury for accountants’. That’s a lot to live up to. So we wanted to show you how this unmissable showcase strikes the perfect balance between ‘party’ and ‘work event’ and will inspire your team for years to come. How it can keep your practice ahead of the curve and facilitate making informed decisions based on where technology is going.
It’s been a long two and a bit years since the last Xerocon and we’re determined to make up for lost time by making this the best one yet. Here are a few reasons that we think you won’t want to miss this year’s event.

At Xerocon, the focus isn’t on what’s been done before. It’s on what’s to come. It’s an opportunity to be motivated by Xero leaders, such as Chief Product Officer Anna Curzon, and to connect with more than 50 app partners from the Xero ecosystem. We’ll share insights into what’s coming up on the product roadmap and our vision for the future. Hearing this first hand will help your practice make decisions today that set you in good stead for what’s coming tomorrow.
Sharon Pocock of Kinder Pocock, a long-time Xero partner and Xerocon attendee, described Xerocon as “a great place to become inspired, to start your online journey, or take the next steps. It’s the place to talk to app partners to find out what’s on their roadmap, and sometimes even influence it.”
It’s the one time of the year that you’ll have the opportunity to hear from and speak with all the key stakeholders within Xero and our wider app marketplace.

When asked to describe Xerocon in three words, Steven Paul of Valued summed it up perfectly. “Fun. Inspirational. Community”. It’s an immersive experience more comparable to a music festival than the standard accounting conference. A chance to connect and learn from other practices who are pushing the boundaries just like you are. To grow closer as a team and inspire your employees. To bring to life the wider purpose behind why they do what they do.
Along with breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and meet and greets with the app community – there’s also plenty of time to have fun and form stronger bonds with your team. In previous years we’ve had karaoke rooms, bumper cars, a merry-go-round, virtual reality games, a pub on the green, and an indoor cricket pitch so you can expect more of the same at the 2022 edition.

Speaking about her experience at Xerocon London with her firm Jackson Stephen LLP, Sarah Smith noted that the benefits for her team stretched far beyond the product. It was also about “creating a community of advisers, bringing everyone together with common goals and inspiring us to make the changes we need internally to achieve those goals; from winning the war on talent, to mental health awareness and everything in between.”
The intention is for you and your team to come out inspired about more than just the Xero product. We want you to feel the impact that you’re having on small businesses, to be excited about where technology is going and to feel rejuvenated about what you’re doing overall.
We think accountants and bookkeepers are awesome and want to make sure that you all feel as special as you are.
