So while you may not always want to make a song and dance about the work you do, we at Xero want to do just that for you. And you can give your clients the chance to celebrate you too with the People’s Choice Award, open for nominations now!
The People’s Choice category recognises the Xero accounting and bookkeeping partners who have been, and continue to be, by the side of their clients through thick and thin. It’s a chance for your clients to celebrate you, to share your stories and importantly, be proud of the role you play for small businesses within our community.
It’s been another difficult year for businesses, and more than ever small businesses have required the guidance and expertise of their accountants and bookkeepers. Your work doesn’t stop, it’s ongoing, and the pandemic has made it relentless.
People’s Choice 2021
Our 2021 People’s Choice winner, CDC Accounting, were recognised by their clients as going above and beyond and for their support within the hair and beauty sector. This was an industry that was hit hard by the pandemic and faced a great deal of uncertainty as it navigated the country’s lockdowns.
Regular check-ins with their clients soon evolved into a weekly Monday to Friday schedule of online events, hosting guest speakers and panels to discuss the best ways for the industry and its business owners to keep moving forward.
Chris Cheeney, Managing Director of CDC Accounting, explains, “we’re changing lives, just by being human and giving people advice on what we have experience in so we can help them get the most out of their businesses and understand the numbers.”
How you can spread the word
This award is an opportunity to encourage your clients to nominate you for the great work that you do. To help, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide on how your clients can nominate, an email template to raise awareness with your clients, and a social tile to promote People’s Choice to your following.
The winner of the People’s Choice Award will go to the partner who receives the highest number of nominations from their clients, friends, and fans by 10 December 2021.
Get your entries in by Friday, 10 December
The entries for this award are made by your small business clients in recognition of the value and work that you – a Xero accounting or bookkeeping partner – have delivered over the previous year.
Nominations are now open and will close on Friday 10th December. Finalists will be announced virtually in early February, and winners will be announced in April. Dates and details coming soon.
With less than a month to go, now is the time to spread the word and speak to your clients about how they can nominate you for this award and what it would mean for your practice to win.
