Report Packs, meet Report Schedules
Today we’re rounding out the core requirements of Report Packs for accountants with the introduction of Report Schedules.
Just like Report Fields, Report Schedules can be added into your Report Pack template at a practice level then applied to any client. It now takes seconds to split out summarized items on the P&L and Balance Sheet, like Shareholder Current Accounts, Loans and Hire Purchases, to show the details in a dedicated schedule.

Report Packs have been a huge project to get to this stage but the development doesn’t stop here. The roll out through our global regions is now well underway with the imminent launch in Australia. The layer of Report Codes that are required for Report Packs are also being scoped in the UK and US.
In tandem with the global roll out project, we’re also taking the time to introduce a completely new framework for reporting in Xero that will expand on the existing approach. To paraphrase Jeff Dean of Google, “design for 10X growth and rewrite before 100X”. When the current reporting framework was designed Xero had less than 100 subscribers – fortunately our designers had 1000X growth in mind.
The new framework will see faster report generation, further flexibility to customize reports, and improved ability to generate the high calorie reports.

I was currently handling this by hacking a balance sheet using the method I got from this post: https://community.xero.com/business/discussion/82231/
It will definetly be a warm-welcomed addition
