Xero wins Webbys

We are pleased to announce we have been named the winner of two Webbys in The 13th Annual Webby Awards.

These are considered the internet’s most respected benchmark of success, also called the ‘Oscars of the internet’. This year they received nearly 10,000 entries from over 60 countries, marking the largest number of entries in its history.

Both Xero software and the Xero marketing site were nominated in the Banking / Bill Paying category. The Xero application won the Webby Award as well as also winning the People’s Voice Award in this same category.

One of the Xero team will be flying to New York for the star studded ceremony, to rub shoulders with other Webby Award winners like Trent Reznor, Lisa Kudrow and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.

The Awards are not only renowned for acknowledging internet brilliance, but also for their five -word-acceptance speech rule – we’ve started work on ours already.
