1000 in 50 days!
There is so much gloom in the market these days we thought it was time for a good news story.
Things are accelerating here at Xero, we’ve added 1000 customers in 50 days.
We now have over 4000 paying customers including over 1000 in the UK.
Whooosh!

On 1st October 2008 you said you had 2200 (Press release)
On 19th December 2008 you had 3000 (Press release)
From 19 December 2008 to 19 February is 62 Days not 50 days?

Good spotting, yes it was 62 days ago that we made the announcement, but did state we would have 3000 customers by the end of the calendar year (which we did!). In the 50 days of 2009, we have added 1000 more.

Using someone else’s IP (Tintin is still not public domain) during the current #blackout is interesting. The incipient NZ copyright law would have a very chilling effect on SAAS providers – this post could cause a take down notice sent to your ISP and all of your hosting disconnected. You are hosted outside NZ right?.

Tim & Paula Just went back and reread press release and you were correct. Had it written down on my notepad 19th Dec Watching the company & share price closely.
Will you be able to break down customers by country in Full Year Result when it comes out around mid year? And congratulations for 1000 UK Customers.

At the current rate that is a 7300 paying Xero customers per year. Impressive numbers. I wonder what the current rate of growth?

We’ve seen a definite upswing in interest in KashFlow SaaS accounting here in the UK too – but not quite to that extent.
Glad you’ve finally got your UK numbers out there too.
