Announcing the Global App Award Winners
We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 Global App Awards! These awards are designed to shine a spotlight on the most innovative and impactful apps within the Xero app ecosystem. It’s a huge honour for our app partners and an invaluable guide for small businesses and advisors looking for trusted, highly rated solutions.
This year marked our first unified global program, bringing consistency and amplifying recognition for app partners worldwide.
We have global winners across each category, as well as regional winners for Small Business App of the Year and Practice App of the Year. Read on to meet all of 2025’s winners and finalists!
Innovation App of the Year: Global
This award recognises apps that showcase novel, groundbreaking, or market-defining technologies (like artificial intelligence) in their integration with Xero.
- Winner:ServiceM8
- What it does: ServiceM8 is a field service management app for trades and service businesses, helping them manage jobs, staff, and communication from the first customer call to invoicing and payment. This year, ServiceM8 has rolled out extensive AI features such as an AI phone agent, AI office agent, image generation and so much more to help service businesses do more for their clients while enhancing productivity within the business.

Emerging App of the Year: Global
This award celebrates newer apps (under two years old) that show strong early growth and great potential.
- Winner:Subsync by Finlert
- What it does: Subsync by Finlert simplifies subscription accounting, helping businesses and advisors accurately manage recurring revenue and subscription metrics.
- Finalists: Tofu, Vinyl, Jibble

People’s Choice Award: Global
This is the only category that’s entirely community-driven, honouring the app that was most voted for by Xero’s global community.
- Winner:Mayday
- What it does: Mayday offers tools for accountants and bookkeepers, particularly focusing on client-facing reports and data clean-up, like fixing intercompany loans and simplifying month-end processes.
- Finalists: A2X, Paidnice, Joiin

Small Business App of the Year
This award goes to the apps that provide the clearest and most tangible benefits to small businesses in areas like operations, growth, or better decision-making.
- Global winner: Paidnice
- What it does: Paidnice helps businesses get paid faster by automating prompt payment discounts and enabling SMS reminders for invoices.
- Finalists: ApprovalMax, ServiceM8, Synder

Practice App of the Year
This category honours apps that empower accounting and bookkeeping practices through workflow automation, insightful data, or improvements to overall client management.
- Global winner: G-Accon
- What it does: This app is a powerhouse for reporting and data automation that works directly within Google Sheets, letting you export, upload, and refresh Xero data to build custom reports, consolidate multiple entities, and automate workflows.
- Finalists: Dext, Ignition, Suitefiles
