1. Read our API Overview

2. Sign up for a free Xero user account if you don’t already have one.

3. Get familiar with the basics of Xero by using your own demo company. Sounds like too much hard work? Why not attend one of our free webinars that we run each week.

4. Login to the Xero Developer Portal (https://api.xero.com) and try the API Previewer application to get familiar with our API. This application uses the standard 3 legged OAuth process so is a great way to see a real example of the workflow for a public application.

5. When you are ready to start building an application, learn more about
