Zapier – integrate apps with drag and drop
Zapier lets you make hundreds of different connections between different cloud services. Right now there are over 160 different services Zapier can talk to. Some of the popular ones being used with Xero are Wufoo, Google Docs, Paypal, Dropbox, Evernote, Zoho and Zendesk. It is easy to create your own connections without any knowledge of the code or APIs behind it.
There are two main ways you might use Zapier and Xero:
- To connect your apps
If you are using a bunch of different cloud applications to run your business and want them to talk to each other but there is not always a direct connection – or maybe you want to customise exactly how that connection works – that is where Zapier comes in.
- To build your own mini app
For example, if you want to feed new invoices into a Google docs spreadsheet so staff can manage dispatches, or sync contacts to Google contacts so you have all your customer details where you need them.
How Zapier works with Xero
Zapier can fire triggers (events) when a receipt, invoice or contact is created in Xero. Also, if a trigger happens in another app, it can create an action in Xero – a new contact or new invoice.
Where you can use Zapier
Zapier is available anywhere, pricing is in US dollars.

Interesting, I’m sure this is going to save a lot of time and transcription errors.
