UK team bake-off
This morning, to mark the six month anniversary of moving into our new UK office, we held a team bake-off competition. The rivalry was fierce and the different forms of baking practiced over this weekend were evidently diverse; spanning the likes a demure coffee cake, through to a classic sponge cake.
We had a perfectly round Xero logo cake which sadly defeated my blind taste test vocabulary earning the description of ‘chewy’, we had an adventurous orange, ginger, almond and cream sponge cake and someone even snuck in a meringue. Regrettably I had to disqualify the meringue for not technically being a cake – “Is that a cake or a meringue? – No, I’m right it’s not a cake.” (apologies to non-Scottish readers for that indulgence).
The Winner
The enviable task of picking a winner fell to me and a blind taste test which after much consideration – they all tasted fantastic – led me to declare that Ashley’s crazy taste sensation sponge cake won both on taste and presentation. The meringue received an honorable if unchallenged best in class gong.
PS. – We’re hiring. (baking skills not essential).

is there some way of creating a ‘recieve money’ template so all the fields are ready for me just to enter in the £££ amount? i’m looking at typing out the same fields approx 365x over the next year and if i could simplify this….
