Paycycle goes Xero blue
Today we’re very excited to announce the successful HTML release of Paycycle. Since the purchase of Paycycle by Xero in late July we’ve mustered resources in Canberra, Wellington and Melbourne to change not only the look and feel of the product but significant components of the technology stack. In short it’s been a huge project. And now away with Silverlight and in with HTML5!
We’re just a few months away from the integrated Xero Payroll for our Australian customers, but in the meantime you can access Paycycle from your iPad or other tablet. Who would have thought payroll could be completed anytime, anywhere? Employees can access their dashboard from almost any device, and even apply for leave from their phone.

For the time being, you can continue to access Paycycle from https://go.paycycle.com.au, but watch this space for updates on integrated payroll. An exciting year ahead!

Great effort, are we likely to see a UK rollout. Well we didn’t want you resting now!
Any plans to bring to the US? Just converted three companies to xero and loving it!
Hi Stuart,
Paycycle is looking great in Xero blue, can’t wait to test it out on the ipad in transit… We love being mobile.
The new layout is great and speeds up the processing of payroll and is a great leap forward for the UX/UI of Paycycle.
Bring on the full integration in 2012!
Cheers.
Guy
Hope you bring payroll to the US. All of our current options suck. :-/
is there a New Zealand version planned?
Just confirming we are not currently planning on doing Payroll in New Zealand. We already have a number of great payroll partners in NZ. The market is quite different to Australia.
We’re more likely to focus on other territories in the future but for now the team are head down building the best solution for Australia.

my clients just love it!!! must easier and faster!
Would be good to get this in NZ, the payroll partners in NZ are quite expensive and this will set Xero out from all the other ever increasing online accounting software providers available.
Please roll out your payroll application to the UK. If it is as good as your accounts package you will very quickly get a market share – your competitors have so little to offer.
@Rod Drury – they may be great partners, but they’re not great UIs or UXs . .
Loving the new look and feel. A great upgrade of an already great product.
This looks terrific wouldn’t this be great for us in the uk.
After reading the above comments it would seem you are not rolling Payroll out in New Zealand which is extremely disappointing. Your current Payroll partners here are expensive. All too often I am seeing people opt for your competitors with a complete package.
Cannot concur enough, payroll options in NZ are a) expensive and b) lack user friendly interfaces, unlike Xero. Can’t wait for a NZ option direct.
Have just set up a new Aus company on Xero. What do I do with the payroll – start with Paycycle or wait a few more weeks for Xero to bring out an integrated software bolt-on? Starting and changing payroll software is such a nuisance.
Are we being forced to use PayCycle (post full integration)? The current system does everything I want it to do and I have absolutely no interest or time to waste learning a new system and setting it up when the current one is working fine.
Thanks Stuart.
I was misinformed this was a forced transition.
Thanks for clearing that up… back to smiley face
Stuart, with the roll in will the current plans include paycycle or will they be changed?
Regards,
Matt
Thanks Stuart for the live demo on 29th Feb at the #Xero RoadShow looks fantastic Xero Blue. My clients are elated when told them it’s coming won’t be long now, they are saying “can we have it now”!. Well done
I understand Ace payroll will shortly intergrate with Xero. Ace doing the work. G8.
