Stay in the loop with income vs expenses
Today’s Xero Personal release lets you choose a timeframe to view your income vs expenses.
You can look at how much you made and spent in the last few days, weeks or months. Or you can make it more relevant by looking at your income vs expenses in your last pay period.
You can then see your spending trends by looking at how your income vs expenses have changed for a given period and compare this year on year.
Watch this video for an overview:
If you want a better view of your income vs expenses in the New Year, try Xero Personal for free.

Just to add to Angela’s request. With my income from self employment sporadic I’m really only interested in the current tax year to date, the views I have at the moment are useless for me. The transaction search includes archived transactions (can I delete these permanently?) which makes it less useful and doesn’t offer a graph of change over time which would be most helpful. Really look forward to an update that allows user selected timeframes on the income and spending reports ideally with the ability to save a preferred period for quick reference in the future.
These updates are great but any news on when bank feeds are coming to Xero Personal? This is a killer feature for me – and probably many others. It’s the main reason I use Xero Business.
A year option as well as week, month 90 days etc would be great. 3 months would also make much more sense than 90 days?
Overall loving it though. Keep it up!
That’s a huge help thank you Sara.
Thanks for giving us options but why take away what was there already? Now we can’t do year to date or any yearly views at all! How do i do a monthly comparison AND a yearly view? I want to look at the tax year
