WDCNZ rocked!

Throughout the day I kept thinking in 10 years time how cool it would be to say I was at the first ever WDCNZ. Speaking to attendees during the event I got the sense that everyone felt this was the start of something special.
It is great to have an event dedicated to developers keen to build amazing web applications and wanting to hear about shiny new things. I particularly loved the fact that the conference catered to all types of web developers – whether you’re a node.js novice or an MVC master, there was something for everyone.
Xero was delighted to be able to send along the majority of our development team to soak up the goodness and encourage them to keep pushing the limits. This fits in perfectly with our Xero Labs day, when they get to work on their own projects and experiment with some of the exciting new things they heard about at WDCNZ.
Xero was proud to sponsor the day and now that you’ve had a taste we’re already looking forward to seeing how big this can be next year.
If you feel the same way we do about web development, take a look at our careers page and drop us a line.

We came back to Hawke’s Bay with our minds completely full of the latest techniques for interactive and mobile development. WDCNZ was a great success and we look forward to returning next year. Well done guys!
I concur with Matt. I’ve already set up a Rails dev environment based entirely on the strength of speakers @ WDCNZ. Also super uber keen to get Sass and Compass up and running to ease CSS dev. Thanks soooo much to Owen and the rest of the team behind WDCNZ. I viewed it as a huge success and can’t WAIT to come back next year!
Great conference, was very pleased I made it down from Auckland to attend.
A very big thank you to Owen and his team for their fantastic organisation of such as well run event. I look forward to attending again next year.
