Oh dear, my head hurts.There’s no way to cram in all the ideas and inspirational thoughts that are thrown out at Webstock.

As a dev at Xero it can become really easy to get bogged down in the minutiae of every day development and lose sight of what’s important; you guys, the users.

The value for our team attending an event full of inspirational speakers from companies such as Facebook/Google and Twitter, is that it forces us out of our reverie of code and allows us to analyse what we’re doing and if we’re approaching problems in the right way.

Despite what the classic image of software development is, the best ideas come from socialisation, we get to discuss the ideas, throw out fallacies and build on truths. These ideas can only come out of conferences like Webstock.
