Yodlee bank feeds update for Australia

We’re making excellent progress with the first phase of our Yodlee integration which will extend our bank feeds to many more financial institutions in Australia. We had been hoping to launch this new service on Monday 18 October, but we need some more time to complete the testing to ensure that everything works as it should from day one.

We’re now planning to release this service in the week after the 18th. We’ll post a release outage notification in Xero a few days before, confirming the final release date and time.

We’re sorry for this short delay, but we promise you it is worth the wait. Thanks for your patience!

Hi, Appreciate customers everywhere are keen to have access to these new bank feeds. We are still planning to make available banks in other countries such as the UK, US and Canada, that don’t require multi-factor authentication, in a second release just as soon as this first release of Australian banks is up and running smoothly. At this stage we still expect that this will be sometime towards the end of November. We will certainly be providing updates over the coming weeks as this second phase release date firms up.

Does Yodlee happen to also support PayPal through a different method than what’s already integrated through Xero? I’ve been having problems with the existing implementations that I’ve been working with customer support on for quite some time.

Hi Jared – Yes it can provide access to Paypal accounts for at least US Paypal customers. We have not yet had the opportunity to trial this to determine if it will provide a suitable alternative for our current direct, API based account feeds. We’ll investigate this further as we prepare for Phase 2 of the Yodlee release and will update you on what we find.

Hi Anton,
Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately our testing environments are only available from within our internal network for security reasons, so we can’t easily make these available for external testers. Just ironing out a few final issues and will have the release notification up shortly.

Yes, we’re very conscious that the week is nearly up. A lot of long days & late nights for the team, but we’ve just put a notice in the application that we will be releasing the first phase of the Yodlee integration with Australian banks early Tuesday 2 November. Where can we find a list of financial institutions that will be included in the Australia update? (and the currently-supported institutions for Australia as well, for that matter).

I am shopping for a new bank and would like it to sync with Xero.

Hi Will,
Currently available bank feeds are listed here in the Help Centre. We’ll confirm all the additional Australian banks available from next Tuesday’s product update in the release notes and Help Centre on the day.

Just Xero at this stage. Once we complete the rollout of Yodlee feeds to Xero Business customers globally we’ll be looking at if we can then introduce them into Xero Personal.
