UK Accountants Online – North Yorkshire

Online discussions and debates can tend to get bogged down in grumpy arguments between old world accounting software vendors and online vendors like us.

So, I took my video camera along with me during a couple of days of visting accounting firms in North Yorkshire last week to get it from the horse’s mouth.

Here’s what two accountants in that part of the country had to say about working online.

I’ll try to nab some more interviews in other parts of the UK to build up a mini-series over the next few months.

PS. The hissy audio soundtrack is caused by me being the managing director of Xero UK and not a Hollywood qualified sound engineer. I have ordered the appropriate Dummies Guide for future episodes.

Thanks Adrian, was fun piecing it together on Sunday afternoon.

I thought Alex made some great points, and despite what anyone else in the UK thinks, you know you’ve really only just made it over the line when Yorkshire folk are happy to praise something, let alone online accounting!

@Darryl – we have a small but growing fan-base in Ireland; on both sides of the border – thus far we have only one Xero Accounting Partner set-up, Gary Reynolds & Co. in Sligo – http://www.reynoldsandcompany.com/index.php

Would love to get some more on board, the multi-currency feature in Xero could use a the kind of hammering it would get over your way.
