@Jamie – Yes you’re correct, the integration uses a text file import which ADP will provide to you once the pay-run has been completed. We’ll check in with the ADP team – they have a help guide available for customers. We’ll contact you directly to give you some more info.

Regards,
Tony

Hi,

Any more info on ADP integration? From our discussions, the word on integration has not really filtered down through their teams. I hear its a file? Has anyone integrated as of yet and what should we be asking ADP for? Any help would be appreciated.

@Tarch At present the integration being offered is with ADP Australia only - they have a range of products available in various global regions, the Australian solution may not be available in other regions like the US, UK etc. We're certainly keen to investigate integration with ADP or other US payroll solutions - so if you'd been keep to see integration with ADP or others, let us know and please lobby them too!

If there are other payroll solutions people would like to see integrated, let us know on our API User Voice forum.

Hi Ben,

Further to what Hugh has said above (thanks Hugh!) each of these providers integrate with Xero by the automatic entry of draft Accounts Payable invoices in Xero, which can then be used to match to bank transactions imported into Xero. Here's an overview of how the accounting behind this works using an example we created for our API developer partners, hopefully there's some good general information there to explain the basics.

ePayroll, WEBpayroll and Paycycle use our API to send the data, so you just push a button in these applications and it appears in Xero straight away. ADP provides a file which can be imported into Xero on the Accounts Payable screen in just a few clicks.

Each of these payroll providers will be making their integration instructions available soon, although there are already some instructions for the Paycycle beta via Paycyle's blog.

Regards,
Catherine

We have used ePayroll from AussiePay for a while now - just recently started the Xero integration and find it excellent. Creates a Draft Invoice under Accounts Payable in Xero the second our payroll is processed which we can then approve immediately and reconcile the next day when our daily bank feed comes through. The invoice lists the various pay codes (ordinary, overtime, annual, personal leave) which makes it easier to manage and monitor labour costs.

Hi David,
We do currently integrate with the providers listed in the Partners & Services section of our website - MyPAYE, Payescape and The Payroll Site. If there are others that you think would be a good fit please let us know and we'll do some investigating.

Regards,
Catherine
