Enjoyed the post. I agree the PC isn&#039;t going anywhere in the short term. With Wifi gaining so much acceptance in the residential sector, I suspect the near future will bring us what I call the &quot;central vac&quot; PC model where all entertainment devices from music to movies to Xbox will be combined into one device in your closet. 

HP and others have rolled out some early devices along these lines but, I believe it will be MS who will lead the way on this with a HW partner. The Xbox Live model provides them a real advantage with this. You can&#039;t undersell the genius of buying &quot;The Zone&quot; back in the 90s and using it as their template for Xbox live. Best 5 mill they ever spent;).
