FreshBooks introduces multi-currency
Congratulations to FreshBooks – this morning they released multi-currency support – here’s their blog announcement.
I just wanted to give those of you using both Xero and FreshBooks a quick heads up – at this stage there’s no extra functionality available for multi-currency when you sync your FreshBooks invoices with Xero. If you currently operate multiple FreshBooks accounts for your different currencies and have one of these hooked up to Xero, just leave things as they are. We need to catch up with the new multi-currency changes in FreshBooks and work out the best way to accept the currency data they’re sending through on invoices and payments so that you can use multi-currency seamlessly in both systems.
Thanks so much for your patience while we work on this – I’ll get you an update as soon as I can. As always, feedback and questions are welcome:
- Xero User Voice – Integration with Freshbooks forum
- FreshBooks Community Forum – Xero Integration topic
- Xero Customer Care team – support@xero.com

Thanks for the congrats! We’re really glad to offer this functionality for our users.
We’ve added support for multi-currency to our API now, you can read about the changes here:

We’ve also updated our API documentation to reflect the changes required to support multi-currency:
