The sixth sense of computing

This TED video has been doing the rounds over the last few days. It’s a fascinating video as it flips around the interaction of the physical world and information showing how computing may become more natural.

I think the software and concepts are amazing and most probably the next step in the evolution.
The one philosophy that he holds that I don’t agree with is the idea of projection onto external surfaces. A retinal based projection system is really needed for this to be practical in my opinion.
Still, a small gripe with an otherwise exceptional work.


That’s awesome – let’s hope it spells the end of fat fingers and squinting eyes trying to use our PDAs as video players and business devices. I’ll have a 40in screen and full keyboard instead thanks!
