Xero sponsors ‘Givealittle’ Red Cross appeal
As you know we’re a global company, but our origins are New Zealand in the South Pacific. For those of us down in this part of the world it’s been a pretty devastating week after a 8.3 magnitude earthquake hit neighbouring Pacific nations Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga. Following the earthquake a tsunami caused widespread destruction, killing many people. The next day another deadly quake hit Pedang in Indonesia, although geologists say the quakes are not related.
New Zealand has a large Samoan population and the aftermath is a tragedy. To help survivors Xero is a sponsor of the NZ Red Cross Samoa Tsunami Relief effort. Specifically, we are covering all costs associated with running the Givealittle fundraising campaign online. Money pledged online will go toward helping survivors and the cleanup in Samoa and American Samoa.
