Three screens and a cloud
Simple little phase from Microsoft Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie that sums up where technology is heading.
Consumers, he said, would all have “media and entertainment delivered to us in some coherent way across something the size of a phone, something the size of a PC, and something the size of a TV.” Not coincidentally this has been a theme for Microsoft for over a year now.

Also interesting are his NetBook and newspaper comments. This year I’ve broken my daily newspaper read habit and getting it all on line. Last year I only watched the news time-shifted on MySky (compressed to 20 minutes) but this year I just check news video on the web later on at night.
I look to DPF and Whale for what’s happening in local politics. The rest I get from the NBR, Herald and Stuff.
My RSS feeds are how I digest 90% of my news.
