Vote for us to win a Webby

Getting a Webby nomination is a major deal, so we did a spit take when we saw that Xero received a double Webby nomination!

How did you guys get two nominations in the same category??

@stuartm We made submissions for both the App and the Mktg, since we weren’t sure how adventurous the judges would be in actually using the app, as opposed to just surfing the marketing site.

We also submitted in multiple categories, since there is ambiguity between categories like Banking and Financial Services. Personally, I wouldn’t put Xero in the banking category, but these awards have a funny way of shaking out and I’m glad we hedged our bets.

I can only assume there was a blind judging process and the votes got split across the App and Mktg site.

Reading that I would still think their reviewers would filter out and just pick one or the other (App or Mktg).

But maybe they thought both were so kick ass that they deserved to duel it out?
