A picture paints 10,000 words

A week or so ago I spoke about the role of local Government in Broadband at the ALGIM conference in Taupo. As I’m talking Jana from MINDesign was scribbling furiously at the back of the room. Today she sent me this mindmap of what I must have spoken about.

Dear Rod

Please find the attached visual summary I created, while listening to your presentation, at the recent ALGIM Conference, Taupo NZ.
This summary, as well as others from the conference, will be posted on the ALGIM website.

I very much liked your vision of the people of New Zealand owning our network to the World and the prioritising of fibre to the home as a second tier goal. You are an enthusiastic speaker and I had to work fast to keep up with your ideas. I trust I got the gist of your key messages in this summary.

Although I hardly consider myself a technologist, I have worked, as a graphic facilitator, with a number of IT strategy groups here and in Australia
I would love to creatively contribute to any of these stakeholder discussions and/or projects and I would appreciate your consideration.

All the Best for the new year.

Jana

I generally have no idea what I’m going to say until I say it so it’s cool to see a picture. (Is that what I said?) This is a neat way to preserve ideas.

Thanks Jana.
